Hey Blogger (“we,” “us,” or “our”) runs heyblogger.com. This page explains what information we collect when you visit, what we do with it, and the choices you have. We’ve written it in plain language on purpose — no legal jargon, because that’s kind of our whole thing.

The short version

We don’t have user accounts, we don’t run ads, and our free tools don’t send your information anywhere — everything you type into the Idea Generator, Title Generator, Content Planner, and SEO Checklist stays in your own browser. We collect the basic technical information any website collects (like server logs), and if you ever email us or sign up for something in the future, we’ll only use what you give us to respond to you or send what you asked for.

Information our free tools collect

The Blog Post Idea Generator, Blog Title Generator, Content Planner, and SEO Checklist all run entirely in your browser. They do not send any of your inputs, plans, or checklist answers to our server or to any third party — nothing you type is transmitted anywhere.

The Content Planner and SEO Checklist save your progress using your browser’s local storage (localStorage), which is a feature built into every modern browser. That saved data lives only on your device, is never uploaded to us, and disappears if you clear your browser’s site data. Because we never receive it, we also can’t recover it for you if you clear it or switch devices.

Information we collect automatically

Like nearly every website, our hosting server automatically logs basic technical details when you visit — things like your IP address, browser type, and the pages you request. This is standard server behavior used for security and troubleshooting, not for tracking individuals, and we don’t currently run any analytics or advertising trackers on the site.

Cookies

We don’t use marketing or tracking cookies. WordPress, the software that runs this site, may set a small technical cookie for logged-in administrators only — this doesn’t affect regular visitors.

If you email us or sign up for something

If you contact us directly by email, we’ll use your email address only to reply to you. If we ever add a newsletter, free download, or other opt-in offer that asks for your email address, we’ll only use it to send you what you signed up for, and we’ll update this policy to describe that clearly before it goes live. We don’t sell or rent your information to anyone, ever.

Links to other websites

Our Resources page and some blog posts link out to third-party tools and services we personally recommend (like Canva, Flodesk, or Google Search Console). Those sites have their own privacy policies, and we’re not responsible for how they handle your information once you leave heyblogger.com.

Children’s privacy

Hey Blogger is intended for a general adult audience and isn’t directed at children under 13. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your choices

You can clear the data our free tools save in your browser at any time through your browser’s own privacy or site-data settings. Because none of that data reaches us, there’s nothing on our end for us to access, export, or delete on your behalf.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we collect or use information — for example, if we add a newsletter or analytics down the road — we’ll update this page and change the “last updated” date at the top.
